What is Magento security scan?

• malware patches,
• unauthorized access.

How to use Magento security scan?

To find the tool, go to ‘My Account’. To run it,

• choose Security Scan;
• click Go to Security Scan;
• read the Terms and Conditions and click Agree if so;
• once done, you’ll be redirected to the Monitored Websites page. Click Add Site to begin;

Note that in case you use several websites on different domains, you’ll have to set up a separate security scan for each of them.

• to verify you’re the owner of the domain, enter the Site URL and click Generate Confirmation Code;
• copy the Confirmation code to the clipboard;
• log in to your website admin panel as a chief administrator and navigate to Content>Design>Configuration;
• find your website and choose Edit;
• expand HTML Head and go to Scripts and Style Sheets to paste the copied code into the text box;
• once done, click Save Configuration;
• go back to your Magento account and click the Verify Confirmation Code to finish the verification;
• after the confirmation, configure the security scan options:

Scan weekly

Scan daily

• don’t forget to enter a correct Email Address to receive the report notifications.
• choose Submit when set up correctly.
